The paradoxical nature of change illustrates how change happens when we fully embrace who we are and let go of trying to become something we are not. Michael will explore how embracing this energizing paradox in our personal lives and clinical work can support the emergence of fresh and novel experiences for ourselves and for our clients. Bio:
Michael Running is a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice based in Portland, OR. He graduated from Portland State University, and has trained in Gestalt, Emotion-Focused, and somatic-based therapy modalities. In private practice, Michael runs a weekly menās process group, and focuses on working with both relationships and individuals. Born in Oregon and raised both here and in Scotland, Michael also spent nine years as a Buddhist monk in the US and in Taiwan.
