Welcome to our Existential Humanistic Salon, where we delve into profound discussions about the human experience and the pursuit of authentic living. In this session, we will explore interventions in sex therapy, engaging in thoughtful discourse that honors the complexity and diversity of human sexuality.

Our salon provides a safe and inclusive space for individuals to explore desires, fears, and questions surrounding sexuality. Rooted in the existential-humanistic approach, we embrace the belief that each person possesses the capacity for self-awareness, personal growth, and meaningful connection.

We will examine interventions that honor the uniqueness of the sexual journey.

Join us as we engage in meaningful dialogue, challenge assumptions, and cultivate a deeper understanding of the complexities of human sexuality.

Bio:

Pam holds a PhD in Clinical Sexology and a Master of Arts degree in Human Services Counseling. Her research explores the intersections of religion, sexual shame, purity culture, and gender roles. With empathy shaped by her experience in a blended family, Pam practices sex-positive therapy, prioritizing client autonomy in defining sexual preferences. She teaches Sex Therapy at Lewis and Clark College and serves on boards including Existential Humanistic Northwest and Clatsop Community Action, advancing holistic well-being and inclusivity.

Ray Nelson is a therapist and sex-positive educator in Portland, Oregon, with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and certifications as an LPC, NCC, and CCMHC. He specializes in Holistic Sex Therapy. Prior to his therapy career, Ray worked in the trades as a DC power engineer and general contractor. In his spare time, he enjoys crafting, craft beer, B-grade shark movies, and outdoor activities. Ray believes in empowering clients to achieve a positive outlook on life through existential and humanistic therapy, offering support for individuals and couples in navigating personal struggles, relationship issues, and sexual journeys
