The seminar this year will focus on women philosophers and their contributions to the evolution of thought throughout history, often challenging prevailing norms and bringing fresh perspectives to philosophical inquiry. From the ethical frameworks of Simone de Beauvoir, who explored existentialism and feminism, to the groundbreaking work of Hannah Arendt on political theory and the nature of power, women philosophers have expanded the boundaries of philosophical discourse. Their insights into morality, identity, and social justice not only enrich philosophical traditions but also provide invaluable perspectives for clinicians in understanding the complexities of human experience. By integrating the ideas of women philosophers, clinicians can enhance their practice, foster deeper patient relationships, and promote a more inclusive approach to mental health and well-being. This seminar aims to highlight these contributions and inspire a deeper appreciation for the voices of women in philosophy.
Join us for engaging conversations as we blend philosophical inquiries with clinical challenges. We are a thoughtful group that values critical thinking and personal connections.
