Working with the Grieving Client: Using existential humanist principles to support the client on their journey Adam Marx, MA, Professional Counselor Associate
This workshop is designed for therapists who wish to deepen their work with grieving clients through the lens of existential humanist counseling principles. We will focus on the concepts of being versus doing, process versus content, inclusion not amputation, and others.
By the end of the workshop, participants will hopefully have gained a deeper understanding of how existential and humanistic counseling principles can be used to support grieving clients. They will leave with a more compassionate, grounded approach to grief work, as well as practical strategies to help clients find acceptance and healing in the aftermath of loss.
Adam Marx specializes in helping grieving clients. His background includes experience as an NLP (Neuro-Linguistic programming) practitioner and trainer, and an ICF (International Coaching Federation) certified coach. Adam has a degree in counseling psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. He uses his own experiences of loss (a brother, a father, a son) to inform his work with clients.
